♠ Classes:Charms, DADA, Herbology, Potions, Transfiguration
♠ Appearance:At a glance, one sweep over Clyde would have a person feeling intimidated and quite small in comparison. Since both of his parents were quite tall, that is one trait that could not escape Clyde. He towers at a good 6'5, and is usually the tallest person in a room. His build is rather stocky, and that has nothing to do with his parentage. His muscles have all been earned from years of hard work on the Quidditch pitch. Clyde loves to play the game, and spends a lot of time in the air, doing all kinds of exercises to build up his endurance and strength. Even when he wears loose-fitting clothing, his toned body cannot always be camouflaged. Not that Clyde tries very hide to hide it; he is proud of his muscles, and will often roll up his sleeves.
Even if one has to look up into Clyde's face, the one thing that will most likely strike them the most is his eyes. The light green may seem unnatural, but isn't actually affected by magic at all. The striking, vivid, emerald colour of his eyes come from his Scottish heritage, and his gaze is often hard to look away from, or sometimes to meet. Because of his tall, muscular build, his eyes look sharp and direct, which often leads to intimidation. Though, if you look closer, there is a lot of openness and friendliness in his eyes that is not noticed at first. Clyde is not so good at moderating or masking his emotions when he wants to, so his eyes are the prime source of information on how he feels. For people that know him really well, they can read him like an open book.
Clyde's hair is fairly nondescript. He likes to keep it short, so that it usually is a messy, brown mass on his head. The hue of his hair is a few shades darker than his skin, except for where it's marked by streaks of gold that are scattered throughout the sea of medium brown.
Spending a lot of time outside does show on Clyde, and he usually sports a light tan on his skin during the spring, summer and fall months; theres not enough sun the the wintertime to show for his time spent outside the academy.
His face is rather rectangular, with sharp features but a bold chin and white teeth. His eyebrows sit low over his eyes, giving him an intense look, and his eyes are deep and close set, which sit on either side of his straight, short nose. The features combined give him a rather older look, and often people mistake him to be older than he actually is. Clyde isn't always happy with that, because he'd rather stay looking young as long as possible, but he's come to accept himself as he is.
As far as clothing goes, Clyde isn't interested too much in that topic of appearance. He wears whatever he find comfortable, which is usually a plain t-shirt, jeans or knee-length carpis. Flip-flops are a year-round thing for Clyde, unless he's playing Quidditch or his feet are screaming from abuse to rain, snow or coldness. Then the sneakers come out. Polo shirts are another one of Clyde's favourites, and will wear them whenever the weather gets close to acceptable for short sleeves. In the cold weather, hoodies are the usual, along with plain jeans and simple sneakers.
♠ Personality:If all you knew about Clyde was that he had a muscular, tall build, played Quidditch and had the looks, you'd except that he was some idiot jock running around with a bold air, would you not? Of course. However, Clyde is far from that stereotype. He is surprisingly focused and hard working in school, and strives for the best marks that he can. He can sometimes get a little obsessive over getting the perfect score or winning games of Quidditch, which gets on his friends' nerves, though he still tries to do the best he possibly can. Aside from school, Clyde has a sharp tongue, which can whip out witty remarks or insults as barely a moment's warning. He has a straightforward attitude, which leads to bluntness on his part, and sarcasm is often involved.
He also gets quite judgmental of things and people, which is one of the worse aspects of his personality. He doesn't mind listening to gossip and rumors, which sometimes forms ideas of people in his head. This isn't helped at all by the fact that he is very stubborn. He can get stubborn over his obsessions, but his hardheadedness plays a part in his prejudice. Even if he is hard pressed to try something new, meet someone, or simply to change his ideas, he won't go down without a fight.
All this may make Clyde look like quite an unpleasant person, but there's a silver lining to every cloud. He is very sophisticated, which can be quite unnatural on such an athletic guy, and his intellect seeps through how he carries himself and how he talks. Clyde can be considered a strict Grammar Nazi, and will often criticize without mercy the works of others. He is usually pretty friendly around people, if they're not getting in his nerves, and he's animated and enthusiastic in general.
♠ History:Growing up in an entirely wizarding family, Clyde's background has much magical culture in it, and some of the things that muggle-borns or half-bloods think are amazing, Clyde takes for granted. For him, magic has always been there, and is nothing new. He has, however, lived for a while in a muggle neighbourhood, and has seen how those people struggle, in comparison to his lifestyle. He comes from a Scottich background, though a few of his ancestors were French and Irish. His family is large, for he lived with his parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He is the second youngest of his brothers, and has always had to live in their shadow, while they got all the attention from friends and family. Even though is was hard to get himself any notice, he's always worked hard at getting better at Quidditch and schoolwork.
After his older brothers moved away, he still lived with his older and younger sisters, and a brother that's the same age. Even though there was now less competition, Clyde still somehow managed to pass under the radar, while his siblings were recognized. He never understood why, perhaps it was that there were simply so many of his brothers and sisters. After several weeks of moping around, Clyde decided to push the past behind him. He now strives to complete school as well as he can, and to continue to play Quidditch on the school team, and someday in the major leagues.
