♠ Name: Tallulah Smith ♠ Blood: Half-Blood ♠ Age & Year: 17, 7th ♠ Gender: Female ♠ Best Subject: Charms ♠ Worst Subject: Magical Marine Biology ♠ Classes: Transfiguration, Charms, Divination, Herbology ♠ Appearance: Tallulah never stood out, height wise. She was always a nice average height for her age(5'2), maybe a little shorter, depending on who she was around. The fact that most of her living relatives were five foot seven by her age has never fazed her, in her typical way of complete denial. Sure, by blood standards she should be a lot taller. So what? Living in people's expectations was just boring.
She has the same hair as her mother's, a dark honey-coloured version of blond. Instead of making hers ruler straight like her mother, Tallulah lets it curl naturally around her shoulders, where a smiling face is always waiting to poke out and grin, hopefully brightening someones day. Or possibly mutter something and curse them blind, depending on whether or not she likes you.
With blue eyes, Tallulah surveys the world with her own perspective. Instead of flying through an entire spectrum of blue, her eyes are either bright, deep blue or a thoughtful blue-grey mixture. When outside, they're blue-grey, in contrast to the sun's bright light. When Tallulah is inside, they are a pretty bright blue, almost always smiling.
A lot about Tallulah is round. Her face is round, her eyes are round, her hps are round and, if you look at it through her point of view -don't- her hair almost seems round because it doesn't just cut off, it curls away. Although her body isn't round, she can be a little sensitive about it and dislkes cutting comments on her looks. Although, she tends to wear baggy or flowing clothes just because she likes them, there is almost a subconcious urge to cover up her stomach and backside.
She isn't so skinny that her ribs stick out and she feels it's a comfortable weight for her age. She has some meat on her bones so that she doesn't appear anorexic but she could rarely be called chubby. Tal has a high metabolism - or she just urns it all off really fast- and has a hard time putting on weight for extended periods of time.
Her dress sense is....unique. Mostly seen in loud, bright colours, the girls preference for yellow is loud and clear, especially during summer months when she can be seen running away from bees which are attracted to the obnoxious amount of the colour that she insists on wearing. Though dubbed a 'yellow-maniac' by her sister, Tal is also partial to the occasional bit of purple. Just, no more bees. Please, no more bees!
♠ Personality: Tallulah is odd, to say the least. She's loud, obnoxious and just there. She is impossible to miss and makes sure of it. Even without bursting into a room screaming about how 'The nasty bees are out to get me', she has acquired an aura of loudness around her over her time at Hogwarts that refuses to be ignored. She dresses loudly and, if she feels left out or ignored, her brain will subconsciously push her to do something to thrust her back into the limelight.
When forced to be quiet, Tal has an awful habit of fidgeting. It's almost as though she is physically incapable of staying still. She finds it easier if she has something to concentrate on - the reason she's passing Divination- and so, can manage to make it through classes without driving her teachers into a homicidal rage. Her sister, who shares a room with her during the holidays, hates this habit because if she can't sleep at night, Tal is a complete menace to all others around her.
Despite her forceful personality, Tallulah tends to be quite good at judging the mood in a room. If the entire room is sombre for something serious, she will force herself to stay still and to not disrupt anything. Only afterwards would she try to lighten the mood, rather then carrying on loudly where it might be highly out of place. Sadly, this seems to be a very sketchy thing as when people just want her to shut UP, Tal appears to notice absolutely nothing and keeps chattering away.
Although her cheerfulness has caused others to occasionally think of her as an ignorant or stupid girl, Tallulah is most definately not. Her problem lies in that if she doesn't find something interesting, her mind will begin to wander until it's over. This may be why she's passing the more practical orientated classes but failing or not doing so good at the theory oriented ones.
Anyone who’s seen Tal when she’s angry will tell you, apologise profusely and duck. Things get broken, generally bones, and people will be hurt. She has a vicious temper when riled, and remember kiddies, an angry and armed witch is a dangerous one. And if all else fails, she’ll bite you. All else rarely fails. She inherited her ‘lovely’ temper from her grandfather. Her mother still curses him for it to this day.
♠ History: Born to Carla and Christian Smith, Tallulah was the second twin of herself and her sister Jestie. She already had a big brother named Braxton who was a complete pest for her entire life. Her mother was a loud, flashy woman who changed her name almost every month whereas her father had become slightly nervous at home. He was a banker and his wifes antics had made him prone to fainting fits. The only true stability in her youth was that she never moved from the London flat that she grew up in. But even that changed decor every six months.
Tal and Jestie soon showed their differences. As children, Tal was always smiling and always wanted to make friends with people whereas Jestie just wanted a good group of solid friends. Tal's forceful personality could scare people at first but her constant smiling would either annoy them away or comfort them. Jestie showed the ability to attract good friends calmly although she didn't make as many as Tal, her friends were more committed to each other.
At eleven Tal and Jestie were accepted into Delusion. While their father did his now usual fainting-in-shock trick, their more sensible mother, who was a witch, explained why they had a letter from some place that isn't supposed to exist. Once they arrived, Jestie was sorted into Persistance whilst Tallulah went to Liberte. In all honesty, Tal, with her limited knowledge of houses, wanted to end up in Liberte and her sister would rather cut her own hand off then end up in 'The Loony House'. Her argument was that she lived in one most of her life, she didn't need another one.
Over the next six years, the twins began to grow closer and further from each other in different ways. If one was being bullied the other would stick up for her and they would help with homework but not let them copy. The sisters often did their homework together, either in the library or outside in the grounds. During Quidditch season, the girls tend to do their homework in the stands, spending more time staring at the boys then at their books. Somehow, they still manage to turn some of it in on time.
Most recently, Jestie has noticed that her sister is more of a nutcase then usual, she doesn't know her mothers name anymore and her father is a little too comforted by the Prozac and Valium. She spends a lot of time in bed, cradling aspirin, ignoring Tallulah's bellowing demands that she 'get a life'.
