♠ Name: Aislynn (pronounced Ash-Lin) Rose Night
♠ Blood: Unknown: Adopted by muggles
♠ Age & Year: 12; 2nd year
♠ Gender: Witch
♠ Best Subject: Charms
♠ Worst Subject: Defense Against the Dark Arts
♠ Classes: Care of Magical Creatures, Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, Magical Marine Biology, Transfiguration
♠ Appearance: Due to an early illness, Aislynn is the smallest girl her age, or anyone of 11 years old or older. She is a whopping 4 foot, 9 inches tall and will always be that way. She‘s tried to change her height with magic, but of course it never works. She’s only about 65 lbs, being very slender as well. She’s very weak physically, and everyone takes advantage of that. Luckily she’s very gifted in knowledge and magic.
Aislynn has a very strange feature about her: her eyes. They’re a deep violet color, and they only change from that during storms. At that time, they’re an emerald green, mirroring the fear she gets from the storm. No one knows why they’re normally violet, but due to this, she looks down in shame most of the time. When people see her eyes, they normally make fun of her, causing her to have very few friends.
Hair is something Aislynn has a definite abundance of. Her wavy dark brown hair is waist-length, and it’s so thick that she has difficulties fitting her hand all the way around it. It reflects the beauty of her face either way. Her face is slender, with dark freckles scattered across her high cheekbones and perfectly carved nose. Her eyebrows and mouth are just as perfectly carved out. Even if she is frowning or scowling, she still looks like an angel. The only thing about her that is of embarrassment is her inability to hide emotions. No matter what, you’ll always know what she’s feeling through her face.
Aislynn gets laughed at sometimes for her attire. There weren’t any robes of the right size, so you’ll find her with rolled-up sleeves and dragging robes. The only things that fit correctly are her shoes, for they were bought at a muggle store that had the right sizes.
♠ Personality: Due to being left out as a child, Aislynn is very shy. She is always afraid to speak to strangers, for she always feels they will hurt her in some way. She only has a few friends, and around them she speaks her mind. She has a very bad temper at times, for she gets sick of being made fun of for her eyes. When she is around her friends, she has a proper, sing-song voice, with a large vocabulary that is only used when writing. Her posture is straight, but normally she stares at her feet to keep anyone from noticing the eyes she inherited from her unknown parents. She fidgets a lot when she gets nervous, so she normally twirls a strand of hair with her finger or twists her hands together. Everyone says she’s too smart for her own good (which she is), so she tries not to answer questions in her classes. She owns a strange black cat with violet eyes, just like hers, who she talks to all the time. The cat is always found either scratching the doors of her classrooms (he can’t come in) or trotting at her side when Aislynn’s out of her classes. He also watches Aislynn pour over the books in the library.
Aislynn is scared to death of thunderstorms and heights. In a thunderstorm, her eyes turn from violet to a bright emerald green. She completely freezes up, and you can't get her to respond to you, no matter what the danger. If she has to face heights, she screams and shakes until she's on the ground again.
♠ History: optionalAislynn was born on a full moon and never cried. Her actual family wasn’t shocked by her violet eyes, but they knew that if she was left with them, she wouldn’t survive. They were aurors and had many enemies, so they had to give her up to an orphanage so she would be taken by a muggle family. All of the muggles were afraid of her and her eyes, so she took a long time to get adopted. When she became adopted by the Nights, Aislynn mostly read and studied spell books, for she always had a feeling that she could do them. When she received the letter to go to Delusion Academy, her thoughts were proved correct.
